Wow. 14 months after I decided I should build a website to showcase my “Art” I’ve finally got around to getting it to work in a way that I am almost happy with.
Not that it didn’t really work before but after getting the domain and paying for hosting I pretty much forgot about it. Technically it hasn’t actually been that difficult although initially there was a lot to get my head around. Recently I’ve had a bit of time to revisit it and this is the result. My initial problems were mainly due to no knowledge about websites whatsoever and wanting to do everything on the cheap. So things like the theme and gallery, whilst possibly not the slickest are definitely the cheapest – free! For the rest of it, things like “contact” and having the blog work on a separate page were just a Google or Youtube away.
Anyway not a lot has happened in that time, so to be honest, between you and me you’ve not missed much. I’ve taken a bunch of pictures, joined the RPS, am considering leaving the RPS. Have considered trying an L panel with the RPS and am considering doing a PAGB thing and tried to use Photoshop a bit instead of just Lightroom. Probably some other stuff too.
I can’t be sure but hopefully it won’t be 2019 before I add something else.
Cheers,
Wayne
Good work on the website Wayne! Always good to have work out there. I enjoyed looking through your photos
Thanks Ivo, still very much a work in progress. I thought I’d get a notification if someone posted something but obviously not. I didn’t try it though unlike the contact me which worked.
